Nokia Lumia 900 will be the next king of mobile phone

Nokia announced a new feature phones Nokia Lumia 900, advertised improvement in its investment program, and then a bit of a surprise, presented the pure 808 See, a smartphone with a - not a typo - 41 hours of megapixel camera - this is not a typo, either - Symbian. Windows Phone 7, forcing Microsoft but the telephony platform implementation is that Nokia has been tightened their perspectives.

Nokia has never been an innovator poor. Traditionally, smartphones have been fascinating marvels of ingenuity, packaging, power and functionality, but too often hides everything in the user interface somewhat opaque. The dominant company in the bottom of the wireless spectrum never translated to the ideals of American power smartphone users.

That's why Nokia's commitment to the Microsoft platform for almost a year - which apparently came up with an investment from Microsoft for hardware development of Windows Phone 7 - was a huge risk, but necessary. The competition between all Google mobile phone maker Nokia may have been a short-term advantage, but Nokia has been just one of many. But to become probably the release of Windows Phone 7 manufacturer (with apologies to HTC and Samsung) would give almost all new Nokia to stand alone in the spotlight.

Ultimately, the fate of Windows Phone 7 dictate the wisdom of the decision by Nokia, but now it seems to enjoy the spotlight. Lumia's new 900, which begins shipping in North America on Sunday (for $ 100), is probably the most convincing of Windows Phone 7 smartphones available - although this is largely due to lack of choice.
Make no mistake: The Nokia Lumia 900 is big, fat, fast, smart and - sexy - I would say. But based on my experience of Nokia Lumia 900, not much to it from the Apple iPhone and Samsung, HTC and delivery of the smartphones in the coming months.

If Nokia Lumia 800 has a 3.7 inch screen with resolution 800 x 480, Nokia Lumia 900 has a 4.3 inch AMOLED screen with the same resolution - a resolution which is great, but does not match the iPhone's Retina display. Since the screen is black, the spots are visible, but most of the lock mode of the display, it is not noticeable when a program is used.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is 11mm thin, but many of the phones are narrower (Samsung Galaxy II is less than 9 mm thick). Like the 800, has a single core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, while many phones have dual core processors (and now many people have quad core processors.) At the same time, run very fast chip enough to run almost any application available on Windows Marketplace (which has many of the graphics intensive games Store Apple applications).

The Nokia 900 Lumia plastic (polycarbonate) If it feels good, solid and credible. The phone comes in black, white and teal. It has an 8 megapixel camera (and video), but unlike the 800, 900 has a front camera (1 megapixel) for video chats. Skype for Windows Phone 7 is still in beta, but Nokia Lumia 900 is supplied with the tango, which is also available on Android and IOS. In other words, the front facing camera to be much more useful and timely, and more powerful for the company as Cisco WebEx meeting or Fuze comes with Windows Phone seventh

The back camera has Carl Zeiss optics, opening af/2.2 and a 28mm wide angle lens. Includes dual LED flash (pretty standard these days) and auto focus, video recording in 720p (HD). Compared to the iPhone, Nokia's production chamber hotter and more accurate, and the colors are more true and clear, but the overall quality is not necessarily a deal maker. Even a 2x zoom begins to destroy the quality of a photograph, especially in poorly lit rooms. However, it is a welcome improvement as compared with other cams smartphone.
One of the key differentiators Nokia Lumia 900 is running on the AT & T 4G LTE - an option only in about 30 cities today. However, HSPA + booking is fine. Performance testing is an unknown sport. The variables that saturation of the network (not many people use AT & T, LTE), time of day, the anomalies of the website (ads change from second to second, for example) makes it almost impossible to test the speed a web browser, talking about the network. Anecdotally - San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and surrounding Los Angeles - the speed was excellent with a lot of pages very fast on some Web sites rich in images. Everything from Netflix Pandora (Pandora Radio Controlled with the Pandora client is not available in Windows Phone 7) worked very well.

The phone keeps simple basic elements: silver buttons on the side of the volume, screen lock and camera, a micro USB port, headphone jack and a SIM card (available with an accompanying key) is reasonable and readily available. The unit comes with 16 GB of internal storage.

I am a fan of the user interface of Windows Phone 7. (You can read more on our side by side comparison of Apple's iPhone OS, Google Android and Microsoft Phone, Windows 7, which includes some phones, the user experience, enterprise-readiness and status of applications for each platform .) Note that Windows Phone 7 still hampered by the lack of encryption on the device, the only weakness that continues to make the phone an undesirable citizen.
Nokia has worked hard to develop their own programs to the "Collection of Nokia." Traffic, unity, and the maps are interesting. For example, direct users to set alerts when you exceed a certain speed, and work offline. The company announced the reading of Nokia and National Association of Magistrates. Nokia ESPN application (actually a "hub" of Windows Phone 7 as language) is fantastic - much richer than what is available on other platforms. Soon it will allow users to set the teams or individual players to the main screen of live data feed.

Nokia offers a wide range of headsets of alternatives (including the purity of the Monster, which is good), bumper covers and soft covers, and auto accessories.

This makes Nokia, for now, the King of the Hill of Windows Phone 7. This is not a big hill, but it is probably a better place than where Nokia two years ago. If Microsoft is successful with Windows 8, the perseverance of the enterprise telephony platform to pay more. It's a big "if" but a Nokia would do well on fuel. The Nokia Lumia 900 is not a bad start.
